AHMED FOUAD NAJM IS THE WINNER
OF THE BOUZGHIBA-AWARDS 2012

The Egyptian poet Ahmed Fouad Najm is the winner of the Bouzghiba-Awards 2012. Najm is well known for his revolutionary work with Egyptian singer and Ud player Sheikh Imam. They  were protesting icons in the sixties and seventies . Ahmed Fouad Najm  was born on May 22th 1929. He has spent 18 of his life in prison. He was imprisoned for his revolutionary ideas and for his virulent criticism. Najm is so famous in Arabic world because of his politically engagement.
Razak who supervises this annual event is a writer and  painting artist. He published several books. Three of them are now distributed in bookstores and libraries in France. So, after the third  Bouzghiba-awards he published a monographic book in order to make a special tribute in presenting the three winners (Patricia Piccinini 2005, French TV-program "C’Est pas Sorcier» 2006 and Theo Jansen 2007). The following three winners were presented in the second part of the monographic book published by EDELILIVRE-APARIS in 2012.
Art painting and bibliophilia are the two fundamentals characteristics that distinguish this cultural and anti-materialist prize.
